Good Moon


This picture is a combination of Chinese calligraphy with abstract images: good, moon, light, and mountains. The wording of the calligraphy: Good, 好, in grass script style. The seal on the left is an ancient Chinese pictorial word of "moon".

Good moon - bright, gentle, cooling, pure, peaceful and eternal (compassion). A good moon represents many wonderful qualities. It is a symbol of enlightenment. According to the legend, the first king of Shambhala, Suchandra (Tibetan: Dawa Sangpo), requested teaching from the Buddha. In response to his request, the Buddha gave him the teaching of Kalachakra tantra (the Wheel of Time). By practicing the Kalachakra the whole Shambhala became an enlightened society. Suchandra, literally means "Good Moon".

Sumi ink on rice paper, mounted on canvas, the size is 15 by 12 inches.

Having Fun


Living fully in the moment. Having fun. There is no other moment is better than "Now"; no other place needs to go, besides here. If I keep chasing after my hope and expectation, I will just lost in my fear of gaining or losing it.

Chinese calligraphy: 盡興. The real meaning is "having greatest fun!" The wording itself is in semi-cursive script style.

Sumi ink calligraphy on Shikishi board, which is ready to be framed; 10.75" by 9.5". With golden edge.

The seal is a fish, which symbolizes freedom.
